Every spring since 1980, the Latow Photographers Guild has hosted a full-day seminar featuring a well-known professional as the guest speaker. The event has become an institution and a regular fixture on the calendar of serious photographers throughout the region. The seminar typically draws 200-250 people from the GTA, further afield in Ontario, and upstate New York. Over the course of about seven hours, those in attendance are treated to a mix of instruction and inspiration, technique and artistry. There is always something worthwhile for both beginners and seasoned photographers, and, in recent years, there has been a complementary hands-on workshop the day following the seminar. The seminar makes use of the excellent meeting facilities of the Burlington Art Centre.
